Corrections Policy
Last Updated: November 2025
1. Our Commitment to Accuracy
Latamchronicle is committed to factual, accurate reporting. Despite our rigorous editorial processes, errors can occasionally occur. When they do, we correct them promptly, transparently, and without attempting to obscure the original mistake.
2. Types of Corrections
Minor Corrections
Minor factual errors — such as incorrect names, dates, figures, or typographical mistakes — are corrected directly in the article. A note is appended at the top or bottom of the article stating what was corrected and when.
Significant Corrections
Where a significant factual error has materially affected the substance of the reporting, a prominent correction notice is published on the article page. Where appropriate, a separate correction notice may be published.
Retractions
In rare cases where an article is found to be entirely or substantially wrong, Latamchronicle may retract the article in full. A retraction notice will be published in its place, explaining the reason for the retraction.
3. How to Request a Correction
If you believe an article contains an error, please contact us at: corrections@latamchronicle.com
Please include:
- The title and URL of the article
- A clear description of the alleged error
- Any evidence or sources you believe support a correction
- Your name and contact details (kept confidential)
4. Response Time
We aim to acknowledge all correction requests within 2 business days and to resolve substantiated corrections within 5 business days.
5. Editorial Decisions
All correction decisions are made by our editorial team. We assess each request on its merits against our published sources and editorial standards. If we do not agree that a correction is required, we will explain our reasoning to the person who raised the concern.
